What is Lovely Heart Creative?

Lovely Heart Creative (or LHC) is a new endeavor focused on providing support and mentoring to new and emerging UX designers. And when we say “UX design,” we are speaking broadly and inclusively. You may be thinking about a career in UX research, interaction design, or product design, for example. If you are, we want to find ways to support and mentor you as well.

LHC is still being crafted itself. Perhaps a more appropriate question for now is, what will Lovely Heart Creative become in the future? We hope in the weeks and months ahead to shed a little light on what’s to come.

About the Founder

Hi, I’m Leslie, and I am the founder of Lovely Heart Creative. I am also currently a UX designer on an enterprise team at a Fortune 500 healthcare company in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. More about me, I have:

  • 8+ years as a UX designer in agency, enterprise, and non-profit environments

  • 13+ years working as an academic research librarian at a Saint Paul, MN college

  • 20+ years planning, designing, creating, and managing websites, from the Wordpress platform, to the Squarespace environment, and even with HMTL & CSS

  • Lived in Minnesota all but three years of my life (1 yr in upstate NY, 2 at school in WI)

  • A Master’s degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Sports Psychology and Sociology

  • Wanted to become an archaeologist in Egypt when I was little (this pic of me here is on the Nile River)
